    For a growing Fragrance Manufacturing and Aroma Chemical Company.

    Primary Duties:

    • ·         All A/R and A/P functions
    • ·         Quickbooks
    • ·         ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) experience preferred
    • ·         Inventory Management
    • ·         Manage logistics from purchase of all raw materials through on time arrival at the plant
    • ·         Oversee production schedule for on time shipment of finished goods
    • ·         Assistant Purchasing
    • ·         Customer Service/Sales Support
    • ·         ADP Payroll
    • ·         General Administrative duties with heavy email follow up

     

    Qualifications/Skills:
    Professionalism, Organizational, Microsoft Office Skills (Outlook, Xcel, Word), Managing Processes, Problem Solving, Customer Service and Verbal Communication

    • ·         Maintains workflow by following up on materials orders and customer fulfillment processes.
    • ·         Maintains operating practices, recordkeeping systems, and forms control.
    • ·         Resolves administrative problems by review of processes, analyzing data, and identifying solutions.
    • ·         Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; calling for repairs; maintaining equipment inventories.
    • ·         Provides information by answering questions and requests from vendors and customers.
    • ·         Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
    • ·         Contributes to success of the business by assisting where and how needed when required.
    • ·         Fragrance / Aroma Chemical/ Industry experience preferred.

    Hours: Full time (M-F 9 am - 5 pm)

    Symrise, “where Science and Sensation meet,” is the world's 4th largest manufacturer of flavors, fragrances and cosmetic & aroma ingredients offering more than 30,000 products in over 160 countries.  Now, we are seeking an organized, efficient quick study with 5-7 years’ administrative experience to provide administrative support to our purchasing department.

     

    You will support the Commodity Managers in vendor qualification, system updates and supplier research; administer vendor certifications & SAP-based new item introductions; prepare and distribute reports; process lab sample requests and perform special projects as requested by the Director of Purchasing.

     

    Position requires a High School diploma (Bachelor’s degree preferred); strong interpersonal, communication, organizational and PC skills, a high level of commitment and the ability to prioritize, follow through and handle details with accuracy.  Proficiency in advanced Microsoft Office products & functions including Word (Mail Merge, Mass Mailings); Excel (Creating and Writing Formulas, Creation of Macros, Graphs, V-Lookups) and PowerPoint are required.   Purchasing experience, knowledge in the flavor & fragrance industry and SAP and/or Lotus Notes knowledge are a plus.
