WFFC 2014 Annual Recognition Dinner
On the evening of June 18th, 2014 the WFFC held their 2nd Annual Recognition Awards Dinner at Nanina’s in the Park in Belleville, New Jersey. The Recognition Award nominations are based on criteria focused on individuals who are considered exemplary figures and mentors in our fragrance and flavor industry and who deserve to be recognized due to their professional accomplishments in their field. After carefully considering the field of nominees submitted by the membership, the organization chose two perfumers and two flavorists to receive the 2014 Recognition Awards. The proud recipients were: Karen Alexander, Senior Flavor Chemist, IFF; Kari Arienti, Vice President and Senior Perfumer, Symrise; Octavia Jordan, Senior Perfumer, MANE; and Marie Wright, Vice President and Chief Global Flavorist, WILD Flavors, Inc. The Recognition Award recipients were each introduced by a colleague with whom they have worked with throughout their career and then received their Recognition Award certificates and gifts
presented by Celine Roche, WFFC President. The new venue was well received by more than 150 industry attendees and proved to have excellent food and service as dinner was served after the ceremony. The evening was a night of networking and celebration and WFFC is thankful to all attendees for their continued support. Congratulations to Karen Alexander, Kari Arienti, Octavia Jordan, and Marie Wright on their achievements.
