Committees
WFFC serves its members through volunteer committees that support the activities of the organization as well as promote the WFFC in the flavor and fragrance industry. All active members are encouraged to participate on the WFFC committees.
Do you have a special skill? Are you a perfumer? Are you a flavorist? Are you a marketer who follows flavor trends or fragrance industry trends? Do you work for a flavor supplier or a fragrance house? Do you specialize in raw materials or flavor and fragrance specialty ingredients? Do you focus on flavor or fragrance regulatory issues? If you answered yes to any of these questions, we want you as a committee volunteer.
Bylaws
The WFFC adheres to a set of established bylaws for the governance of the organization. The WFFC Bylaws Committee reviews the bylaws annually and works with our legal counsel to ensure the integrity of the organization.
Communications
The WFFC Communications Committee is responsible for communicating information about the WFFC to the flavor and fragrance industry, through press releases, social media posts, and website updates.
Diversity, Equality and Inclusion
The WFFC looks to this committee to help create an inclusive environment that values authenticity, equity, and diversity of thought as we continue our mission to educate, engage and empower our members and those we work with.
Education
The WFFC Education Committee is responsible for coordinating the annual educational seminar. This annual event supports women and men who work within the flavor and fragrance industry, and topics have included continuing education on sourcing of essential oils, navigating the changing regulatory landscape, raw material supply chain disruptions, clean labeling, consumer markets, and international trends.
Finance
The WFFC Finance Committee is responsible for ensuring the long-term financial viability of the WFFC. They monitor and review all financial aspects of the organization, from annual budgeting to reserve fund maintenance.
Golf
The WFFC Golf Committee organizes and manages all aspects of the annual golf outing, including venue selection, day of details, sponsorship, and prizes. The annual golf outing is one of the WFFC’s anchor events, which allows the flavor and fragrance industry to socialize, network and hone their golf skills.
Long Range Planning
The WFFC Long Range Committee is responsible for exploring the goals and objectives of the organization to strategically plan for its future growth and expansion and to ensure the longevity of the WFFC.
Membership
The WFFC Membership Committee is responsible for reviewing member applications, developing membership initiatives and enhancing the benefits of membership and corporate sponsorship.
Newcomers
The WFFC Newcomers Committee welcomes new members to the WFFC through new member initiatives and outreach. A vital part of the WFFC, this committee is the first welcome new members to attend upcoming events or to answer questions about membership.
Philanthropy
The WFFC Philanthropy committee is responsible for coordinating all of the WFFC’s philanthropic endeavors. The WFFC supports worthy causes both inside and outside the flavor and fragrance industry with charitable contributions. In addition, to give back to the community, the WFFC hosts food drives, volunteers at soup kitchens, organizes clothing and accessory drives, and participates in national walks and runs for various causes. Program
The WFFC Program Committee is responsible for planning the WFFC’s anchor events, including the WFFC Annual Gala, the Annual Recognition Dinner, and the Business Meeting as well as various miniseries throughout the year.
A few examples of intimate WFFC miniseries events include an architectural cruise, a cookie baking lesson, a floral arrangement class, a fragrance art history lecture, a painting party, a progressive food truck outing and an urban sensory trend excursion. Scholarship
The WFFC Scholarship Committee is responsible for the annual review and selection of recipients for the WFFC fragrance and flavor scholarships. These awards are for woman enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in one of the allied disciplines of the flavor or fragrance industries. Learn More.
