Ariella Gastel
Director of Business Development; Terracycle

Ariella joined TerraCycle in 2021 to head up business development for the Americas with a
focus on the B2C and B2B recycling platforms.

TerraCycle, an international leader in innovative sustainability solutions, created and operates first-of-a- kind platforms in recycling, recycled materials and reuse. Operating in 21 countries around the world, TerraCycle is on a mission to rethink waste and develop practical solutions for today’s complex waste challenges.

Prior to joining TerraCycle, Ariella worked for more than 15 years in the food ingredient and flavor industry where she spearheaded new initiatives in food safety, shelf-life extension, and health and nutrition for the food, supplement and personal care markets. 

She has held global leadership roles in marketing, business development and innovation at Kalsec, Pfizer, Cultor, Danisco, DuPont Nutrition and Biosciences and Greyston. As VP of Marketing and Business Development and Head of the Benefit Corporation at Greyston, Ariella came to realize the impact of a strong sustainability program and was inspired to continue these efforts at TerraCycle.

Michelle French
Director of Global Sustainability Programs, Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM) 

Michelle French is Director of Global Sustainability Programs at Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM) where she focuses on environmental footprint reduction efforts and sustainable supply chain initiatives including implementation of the company’s human rights policy and regenerative agriculture programs.

Michelle engages with stakeholders in the supply chain, including growers and customers, as well as NGOs and investors to communicate the company’s sustainability strategy. Prior to this role, she spent 10 years in environmental compliance. Michelle has a B.S. in Natural Resources and Environmental Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.

Manolo Donaire

With over a decade of experience in the F&F industry, he has held executive positions in Sourcing and global Sales of essential oils, leading cross cultural teams in regions such as Europe and Asia Pacific. World traveler to over 40 countries and fluent in 4 languages.

Based in Spain and joined Berjé in January 2021 to support and expand our footprint in Europe; the company also continues with its own production site of Rose and Lavender in Bulgaria.

He currently also serves as President at EFEO, the European Federation of Essential oils, firmly engaged to continue supporting the essential oils industry in Europe.

Jeana Wirtenberg, Ph.D.
President & CEO of Transitioning to Green, LLC.

Jeana is an Associate Professor of Professional Practice at Rutgers Business School and Associate Director of the Rutgers Institute for Corporate Social Innovation (RICSI).

She is President & CEO of Transitioning to Green, LLC, a consulting company specializing in leadership, culture change, learning, and development for sustainability.

Jeana is the lead editor and author of The Sustainable Enterprise Fieldbook: Building New Bridges, first and second editions (Greenleaf, 2008; Routledge, 2019), and the author of Building a Culture for Sustainability: People, Planet and Profits in a New Green Economy. Jeana was HR Director at Public Service Enterprise Group (PSEG), and held leadership positions in AT&T Human Resources. She received her Master’s degree and Ph.D. with honors in Psychology from U.C.L.A.
